Botswana Airport City Reports Construction Progress Under Qatar Investment Framework

On 29 October, Botswana reported that foundational infrastructure at Airport City had been completed and a 4,000-square-metre factory shell was under construction, with handover scheduled for March 2027. Construction of the main mixed-use zone, including a hotel and international convention centre, is scheduled to begin by the end of 2026. The project is expected to create about 20,000 direct jobs once completed, while a separate project investment value has not been disclosed.
