Jamaica Launches Digital Education Pilot Across 54 Schools

On 29 October 2026, UNESCO reported that a joint programme led by UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO and WFP had entered its pilot phase in Jamaica, introducing digital tools and connected systems across 54 selected schools to strengthen teaching, learning and education-sector decision-making. Although no total programme budget was disclosed, the initiative creates opportunities for schools, education authorities and technology providers to invest in digital learning platforms, education data systems and computing infrastructure.
